If you're watching the new ITV period drama series "The Halcyon" look out for the resident dancer at the Hotel (and Redbourn Village Hall) Carol Stone Allen.
Carol has been teaching private dance lessons in RVH for many years to both professional dancers and those wanting to dance for fun, but also dose film and TV work.
The photo shows Carol in one of her Halcyon costumes and the video clip below has Carol's character dancing (wearing this dress) with her onscreen husband at the Ball room party.

NEW! ESKA Karate Club Redbourn has it's launch on Sunday 8th Jan at 9.30am to 10.30am in Redbourn Village Hall
It will be a great oppertunity to meet and chat with one of the highest (officially) ranked masters of Shotokan Karate in the uk.
Everyone is very welcome, whether your curious or new to Karate, in training or very experienced please come along and celebrate the new club launch morning.
Sensei Nursey (9th Dan) will address those there and give an indication of what can be achieved by studying Karate, this may well incorporate some demonstrations.
There will also be a number of black belts in attendance who will show some techniques, as well as giving everyone a taster of what they are capable of: Everyone has more ability than they realise they just don’t know it!

Ian is a Ver Valley Farmer who initiated the Open Farms Days which has now become a nationwide event.
